This chair is feature-rich and exceedingly well-designed. While it comes at a premium price, it’s not the most expensive chair out there. For that reason, this is our pick for a premium chair; it’s accessible to most people who are willing to spend a little more on a massage chair, but it offers all the functionality, aesthetics, and quality that you’d expect when shelling out on a high-end massage chair.
From innovative features to comfortable design to just plain looking nice, this chair has got it. Of course, it’s much more expensive than many of its competitors, and you may decide that you don’t really need it for the increased price. But if you’re in a position to spend, this is a great choice.
This chair has a veritable ton of features. Seriously. For example, there are twelve different massage modes, each of them adjustable for intensity. The leg rests extend automatically to fit your body. There are eight auto programs and sixteen manual programs, meaning it won’t be hard to find the right fit. In our eyes, this is perhaps an excessive number of massage modes, but at the very least Real Relax has covered their bases here. The rollers themselves sit on a 50-inch, “SL” shaped track, and they’re designed to simulate the feeling of human hands.
Heat therapy is also available with this chair via hand, waist and back heaters. That’s more than the standard single back pad on most midrange massage chairs, making this Real Relax model worth it if heat therapy is particularly important to your usage.
The shoulder airbags are also totally adjustable, which is great for people who have wide shoulders or long torsos; you can move them around to fit your specific body type.
In addition, this specific chair is integrated with an Android control tablet. That means controlling its different functions is easy and familiar for anybody who’s used Android devices before, but it also means that audio/visual entertainment is only a click away. Some people like to zone out while getting massages, but if you’re the kind of person who likes listening to music or watching movies while getting a massage, this is the chair for you.
While this chair doesn’t make any claims towards specific massage types, one highlight is an included Thai Stretch mode, designed to help your muscles relax. Overall, if you’re seeking a strong Shiatsu focus or other specific massage styles, it may be worthwhile to look elsewhere. However, eight auto programs and sixteen manual programs mean that most users will be more than adequately covered, even if this chair will be used to service a whole family.
This chair is high quality. Period.
Really, there’s not too much more that you need to know about it. It has an extensive feature set. It’s well-designed. The materials are of a high quality and this chair can be customized to work the way you want it to. In addition, the included automatic modes do a great job even on their own. Really, there’s not much more to say: This is one of the best full body massage chair you can buy. Whether it’s worth the price or not is mostly up to your particular set of needs and budgetary restrictions.
This chair is made primarily of synthetic leather, with a few mesh like sections spread out throughout the chair. The base itself is made of both steel and plastic. Overall, we felt that the chair was sturdily constructed. It didn’t seem like it was going to break anytime soon.
Furthermore, though the covering is made of synthetic leather, the quilted pattern on certain parts of it and quality of the material made us feel like we were using an expensive chair. While it’s still synthetic, there’s a definite difference between this chair’s covering and the kind that you would find on a budget chair costing half the price.
Pros and Cons
- Premium quality
- Included Thai Stretch mode
- Adjustable shoulder airbags
- Integrated Android control tablet
- Massage modes are slightly vague, without specific emphasis on Shiatsu/Swedish etc
This chair from Real Relax, featuring a set of rollers on an SL-track, a widespread heating system, and a plethora of different massage modes and functions, is undoubtedly a premium option. Should you buy it? Of course!
Obviously, it’s not that simple. This is quite an expensive chair. But it works quite well and even though it’s expensive, it’s not inaccessibly so. While you may have to save up a bit, the level of control and luxury you get with this chair may very well be worth it over being able to buy a more budget-minded option a little sooner. As far as we’re concerned, this is the premium chair to beat within the price range.
